BIOGRAPHY
Jennifer Codding didn't take the most traditional route to practicing law. Before becoming an attorney, she worked as a correctional officer and then spent nine years as a real estate paralegal. By the time she got to law school, she already knew her way around real estate files, title issues, closings, and the paperwork that can make property matters surprisingly complicated.
Jennifer attended the University of New Hampshire School of Law, where she participated in the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2010 and was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar through the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program. She is also admitted to practice in Florida and in all three U.S. District Courts in Florida.
Today, Jennifer represents property owners, buyers, sellers, and investors in a range of real estate matters, including contracts, closings, quiet title actions, adverse possession, mobile home ownership issues, Lady Bird deeds, and leases. Some clients come to her before a transaction begins. Others arrive with a deed, contract, or title problem that has already become a headache. Jennifer's job is to figure out what's happening, explain it without making it more confusing, and help decide what to do next.
That straightforward approach is a big part of why Jennifer started Codding Law. She wanted a practice where clients know who their lawyer is, can ask questions without feeling intimidated, and get candid advice from someone who isn't interested in making the law sound more mysterious than it is.

Why the Fish?
The fish is more than a good Codding Law pun. It has some history behind it.

Jennifer is proud of her New Hampshire roots, and the cod has been a New England symbol for centuries. The region's cod fisheries and salt-cod trade helped shape its early maritime economy, sending New England ships and merchants across the Atlantic. The fish became such a recognizable symbol of the region that a nearly five-foot wooden “Sacred Cod,” dating to the 1700s, still hangs in the Massachusetts State House.
So when it came time to create an identity for Codding Law, the cod felt right: a nod to Jennifer's New England roots, a play on the Codding name, and an opportunity to make a law firm logo a little less predictable.
Hence, the fish in a suit.
In Cod We Trust.
